BJ Penn called out
Georges St. Pierre after his patient annihilation of a very game
Sean Sherk, and it seems that Penn isn't the only one interested in a rematch between the current
UFC light and welterweight champions.
"I know I’d look forward to seeing it," said Sean Sherk at the UFC 84 post fight press conference.
Sherk should know, he now holds the distinction of being beaten by both men. When asked who he would favor in the fight, however, Sherk was noncommittal.
“Both of their striking is good, both of their ground is good. Styles make matchups and it would depend upon who was on that day."
Dana White, who has stated that he would like for Penn to clean out the lightweight division first before moving back up to welterweight, also seemed open to the idea of allowing Penn to move up; after one more fight at lightweight.
“I think there’s one more interesting fight for him (at lightweight), but it isn’t something I wouldn’t talk to him about,” said White.
