Jake Rossen of Sherdog.com is reporting that current UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture has won a substantial court case in Texas against Zuffa. The District Court of Dallas County, Texas did not allow Zuffa's 3 motions which aimed to prevent/delay HDNET's case against Zuffa. A potential hearing for HDNET is possible on June 2nd, however Couture still has to battle Zuffa in Nevada to leave his contract.

Couture's contract expires in October 2008. His lawyers are trying to break it as soon as possible so the highly anticipated match between him and Fedor Emelianenko can take place. Currently Emelianenko is scheduled to face Tim Sylvia at the Affliction: Banned event in Dallas, Texas.
