After recently asking Rashad Evans and Michael Bisping (with Bisping obliging), Kevin Iole recently asked Wanderlei Silva to move down to the middleweight division. Even with Bisping and Dan Henderson moving to middleweight, the division is still relatively weak compared to the stacked light heavyweight division.

Silva has apparently turned down the offer, citing that he didn't believe he can make weight despite many middleweights walking around heavier than Silva.

Silva is currently in Brazil until early February, when he will start training for his next fight. Although no opponent is official, Silva let UFC officials that he is up for a fight against anyone they want to match him up with.
