Gilbert Melendez To Face Josh Thompson, Cung Le vs. Frank Shamrock On The Horizon As Well

Jerry Millen announced at tonights Strikeforce Middleweight Tournament Event that Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez will defend his title against Josh “The Punk” Thomson on their Strikeforce 8 card on March 29th.

Also, Cung Le challenged Frank Shamrock after his strong performance vs. Sam Morgan. Shamrock, who holds the Strikeforce middleweight championship belt accepted. The fight could be added to the March 29th card.
