According to UFC President Dana White, Brock Lesnar will likely make his UFC debut in on February 2nd as part of the "SuperBowl" Card. BJ Penn vs. Sean Sherk/Joe Stevenson and Minotauro Nogueira vs. Tim Sylvia are other rumored bouts that may take place on the card.
“We’re looking at the SuperBowl (card), but we’re not for sure yet,” White said in a post-UFC 77 press conference.
The 6-foot-3, 265 pound Lesnar has an extensive and highly decorated collegiate wrestling background. He is said to have been training at Minnesota Martial Arts Academy with the likes of Sean Sherk and has worked with Royce Gracie and others in the past to improve his entire mma arsenal, though he knows he still has a long way to go.
"Obviously I don't think I'm ready for a UFC title shot right away," Lesnar said in a UFC-released statement. "But I will be there and I'm not going to turn down any opponent because I'm here to prove myself."
