According to TheFightNetwork.com, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Cheick Kongo will will face one another Saturday, Dec. 29 at UFC 79 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The match-up will the classic striker vs. grappler affair, pitting Nogueira, who many consider the worlds best heavyweight grappler against a one of the most feared striker at heavywieght in Kongo.

Nogueira (30-4-1), has fought the best heavyweights in the world and has never been knocked out. He has two losses by split decision and two by unanimous decision against Fedor Emelianenko. It will be interesting to see if Kongo (11-3), coming off of a dominant performance against top heavyweight striker Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, can switch gears and somehow counter Nogueira's superior ground game.

The winner of this fight could very well be in line for a shot at the title and Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture.
