This former UFC middleweight champion has a stellar professional record. His only losses come from elite opposition in current reigning UFC middleweight Anderson Silva and undefeated rising light heavyweight contender Lyoto Machida. Franklin recently decided to move up to light heavyweight after two unsuccessful attempts to regain his middleweight belt from champion Anderson Silva. Franklin was a high school math teacher before beginning his MMA career and holds a master's degree in education from the University of Cincinnati.
